Product Specification

The notion behind lunar planting is that the moon’s gravitational pull, which affects tides, also influences the moisture levels in the soil and sap flow in plants thereby positively impacting a plant’s development.

This detailed art print details what crops should be planted during which moon phase for optimal plant growth.

The four quarters of a moon’s cycles are divided into four gardening objectives. The first two waxing cycles are suited to planting fruiting or leafy crops - those which grow above the ground. During the third moon’s phase the light starts to diminish and energy returns to the ground. This is expected to be a good time to sow root crops or anything which thrives under ground. Finally, the last moon phase towards darkness is assumed to be detrimental to stimulating growth. It is therefore advantageous to use this time for pest control, killing weeds and composting.

By staggering your gardening objectives this way not only should you have a favourable yield, you should also avoid food gluts.

Beautiful artwork, and it was a perfect gift for a gardener. The only downfall was that it's printed on paper vs and sturdy poster paper or lamination. As the gift was being opened it tore very easily and I had to order another for replacement. The replacement arrived quickly since it was shipped out locally.

How much is shipping?

Shipping starts at £3.99 and is dependent on the overall weight of items in your cart. For customers in the U.S.A shipping fees are also inclusive of tariffs with DDP (delivery duty paid), so there are no additional fees from customs.

What do I do if I think my item is lost?

If you have waited longer than our shipping times then please contact us asap on info@moonphasestudios.com . There is very little we can do once an item is in the postal system but we pride ourselves on great customer service and will do anything we can to assist you.

Can items be shipped to multiple addresses?

No, unfortunately not. We can only ship to one address on the order. If you want items to go to different addresses please place two separate orders.
